/ Project description /
A teenage schoolgirl attends P.E. class. The teacher, who inspires fear among the pupils, asks her to perform a series of breakneck gymnastics exercises in front of the whole class. The teacher observes the girl with a stern eye. The girl obediently performs the exercises set by the teacher and gives her best in an attempt to please the adults and fit in with the norms and demands of the school system. As long as the girl performs well, the teacher and parents cheer her vigorously. When she tires of slowing down, the parents cannot hide their disappointment. Other children follow her efforts closely. Just one stumble and she becomes the laughing stock of the class. Flexibility and adaptability are often cited as advantages. But is it at all costs?
