“Man of Action” is the story of a precocious child growing up whose Dad can’t cope with reality. Their first holiday together after the divorce, instead of carefree fun, becomes for the daughter an agonising attempt to find her way in the adult world. For Dad, on the other hand, the first holiday after splitting from Mum is a carefree game in which he can let go of the brakes. There is an imbalance of family roles, depicted magically – the daughter gradually grows older and the father younger. At the peak, the daughter is an old woman and the father a four-year-old boy.
